There’s a noise in the garden
Look out of the window
Two squirrels playing like children
Are they giving a show?

Where do squirrels live?
Do they have a home?
Do they have hands to give?
Why do they always roam?

I want a picture of the squirrel
That would make a good poster
I’ll sing the squirrel’s song for Noel
Says the girl to her mother

There’s a nut in its palm
That’s a present for somebody
Can squirrels sing a psalm?
They sure look so funny
