Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912) was born from an English mother and a father from Sierra Leone. He spent most of his life in Croydon town and became a famous musician and composer in Victorian Britain. Daniel Labonne was artistic director of the SC-T society in Croydon for 10 years.
